The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation has decided to support the efforts of the Boys & Girls Club of Havre, Montana for a period of time spanning from June 2012 to August 2012, which marks the 10th year anniversary of the club.
The Boys & Girls club of the Hi-Line supports disadvantaged youth by education, adventure, and fun. Once a year, the Havre community is invited to ‘Big Toy Day’ where inflatable climbing walls and bounce houses bring joy to young children while an enjoyable barbeque keeps the entire community satisfied. The objective of the Boys & Girls Club is to raise enough grant money to help offer more services to over 200 kids per day. The services provided to the children include a Power Hour Center where club members receive assistance with homework, the STEM Center that allows participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programs and other activities in which youth develop lifelong skills.
With combined efforts, the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation and the Boys & Girls Club of Havre together will effectively help build a better future for the youth of Montana.
