Great Falls Rescue Mission Inspires Young People at Summer Camp

The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation continues to focus its efforts to positively influence young people by offering opportunities that will build self- confidence, integrity, and provide creative and fun recreation activities as part of the programs offered through a $10,000 donation to the Great Falls Rescue Mission.

The Great Falls Rescue Mission is a ministry for homeless and at-risk youth in the community.  During the summer, the ministry offers programs to influence these children’s lives by offering a week long camp, Camp Life Light, running from mid June through the month of July.  Camp Life Light promotes the enjoyment of nature, learning how to meet and develop personal relationships with peers, along with fun constructive activities, such as arts and crafts.

The overall goal is to offer a stepping stone for these disadvantaged children to develop skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

By education, care, and a nurturing environment, these young children have the chance to make a difference.  The ministry gives them the tools to turn around their lives and live positive healthy lifestyles and the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation is proud to be a part of that guidance.
