9.16.08 | Volunteers Needed to Help Build Community Playground

The planning committee for the future Clinton Cougar Kingdom Playground is looking for volunteers to help build the new community playground to be built on the Clinton School grounds.

The playground will be constructed with donated materials and volunteer labor on Sept. 24-28, 2008 on the Clinton School grounds. Volunteer shifts run from 8 a.m. to noon, 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. to dark on each of the build days. Food and drinks will be provided, as will child care for potty-trained children. Children age 10-13 may help with their parents, and teens 14-17 are welcome to help on their own, although they will not be permitted to use power tools. Both skilled workers (e.g. volunteers who are comfortable using an electric saw and can cut a straight line) and inexperienced workers are needed for the build, as are folks willing to help out with food, child care and site errands.

To learn more about the project visit the Cougar Kingdom Website at http://www.clintoncougars.com/cougarkingdom/index.html or volunteer, please email Shellie Nelson at swnelson@blackfoot.net or call her at (406) 240- 0920.
