12.22.08 - Montana Rail Link Awarded 2nd Place in Heart Walk
Congratulations to Montana Rail Link employees who participated in the American Heart Association's 2008 Heart Walk. MRL Received the AHA's 2nd place fundraising award for the Missoula area event.
Dale Virts was the top fundraiser for Missoula. Other MRL volunteers included Duane Parker, Jennifer Bristow, Chris Cline, Ryan Wake, Debbie Bush, Lori Foust, Dennis Meyer, Lynda Frost, Perry Smith, Lynda Hahn and Erin Best. The MRL and Washington Corporations teams raised over $6,700 for the organization.
In 2008, approximately 1 million walkers participated in more than 450 similar events across the country. The American Heart Association works to raise money to save lives from the country's number 1 and 3 killers - heart disease and stroke.
