05.07.09 | Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation selects Adventures of the Mind students
Held every two years, Adventures of the Mind is a three day conference that affords exceptional high school students the opportunity to meet and interact with approximately 50 renowned artists, athletes, authors, entrepreneurs, Pulitzer Prize winning journalists, politicians, Nobel Prize winning scientists, scholars, and writers of our day. The program, organized by Victoria Gray of the Student Achievement and Advocacy Services, gathers approximately 100 students in the country to participate in the program. This summer, the event will be held at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton University.
This year the Foundation received over 70 applications for Adventures of the Mind. Although we could only pick 10, we selected a group of students that truly are active in the community, work hard in school, and show true spirits for their futures. This year will be a very exciting year for Adventures of the Mind and the students are very excited to embrace this exciting trip to Princeton!
