Since 1982, Eagle Mount Bozeman has been transforming lives of people with disabilities and children with cancer. No one has ever been turned away for lack of funds as its founders, General Robert C. Mathis and his wife, Greta, have ensured that Eagle Mount is funded entirely through private dollars including ongoing support from the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation.
Eagle Mount Bozeman’s mission is to provide quality therapeutic recreational opportunities for people with disabilities and young people with cancer, and to provide support for families of program participants.
With programs such as Spring Fling, Big Sky Adventure Camp, Camp Braveheart and the Young Adult Retreat; all in 2013, participants of all ages are able to enjoy activities such as skiing, horseback riding, swimming, camping, rock climbing, kayaking, cycling, fishing and much more. The goal is to foster freedom, joy, strength, focus and confidences. Set under the beauty of Montana’s legendary big sky, Eagle Mount focuses on people’s abilities, while gently supporting their disabilities.
